Check your Spotify Listening History on Your Desktop

Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services globally, with over 422 million users and 182 million paid users. Spotify has over 70 million songs in its catalog. In recent years, Spotify has also added podcasts and live podcasts.

Spotify keeps a history of songs you’ve listened to so you can quickly go back to a previously played track. If you want to check Spotify listening history, here’s how on the app’s desktop version and the web app. These steps apply to the Windows/macOS/Linux version of Spotify.

View Spotify Listening History On Desktop

If you have the Spotify app on your computer, you can access the listening history directly from the app with just a few clicks.

Here’s how to view your listening history on the desktop app.

  1. Launch the Spotify app on your computer. Make sure you’re signed in to your account in the app.

  1. In the bottom right corner, tap on the “Queue” option next to the volume bar.

  1. You should now see a list of your recently played music items. Tap on the song you want to play.
  1. To add these songs to a specific playlist,  click the three dots next to an item and select the option.

Spotify web has no dedicated tab for displaying listening history. However, on the Home screen, there is a section that displays recently played songs.

  1. To access the Spotify web player first, open your web browser and type in open.spotify.com. You also need to log in to your account to access the player.

  1. The “Recently Played” section is where can find your music history.

And look at the bottom of the page for some song recommendations the algorithm thinks you’ll like.
